Limits - Set By You

Gambling Controls

On registration, we ask our customers to determine their gambling controls, including their Deposit Limits, Session Limits and Maximum Balance. Should you wish to update these limits, this can be done at any time via our Responsible Gambling Website or via the Gambling Controls section of your account. Within this section, it will show you your current limit and how you can change this limit by selecting a new time frame or value. If you wish to increase your Deposit Limits, Session Limits or Maximum Balance, it will take 7 days before the new limit is applied, decreases will be effective immediately.

Within Gambling Controls, you can also keep track of your activity, set up a Time-Out, Reality Check or Self-Exclusion and close your account.

Deposit Limits

Many of our customers use Deposit Limits to manage their spending. Limits can be set for any one calendar day, week or month and cannot be overridden.
Deposit limits are counted according to the following time frames:
Daily - 00:00:00 until 23:59:59 CET of that specific calendar day
Weekly - Saturday 00:00:00 to Friday 23:59:59 CET
Monthly - 00:00:00 on the 1st of the month until 23:59:59 CET on the last day of the month
A Deposit Limit can be set up by going to the Account Menu, Gambling Controls and Deposit Limits, where you can select the period and the amount you would like to set.
You can decrease your Deposit Limits at any time and this will be applied immediately.
Before increasing your Deposit Limits carefully consider if you are willing and prepared to lose the amount you have entered. Never decide to increase your limit because you have lost money and think that you will win it back by gambling more.
Once you have submitted your increase request, a 7-day cooling off period will be applied.

Where you request a deposit limit above a certain value, you may be required to contact us in order to increase your limit. Further information can be found below under ‘Limits - Set by bet365’

Please also be advised that if you reach 50% of your set Deposit Limit, you will receive a message notifying you that you are approaching your limit.

Reality Checks

To help you manage the amount of time you spend playing at bet365, a maximum 30 minute Reality Check alert is set on your account. This is in-line with Dutch regulations.

You can change your Reality Check by going to the Account Menu, Gambling Controls and selecting Reality Checks. Here you need to select Change and choose your preferred time period. A pop-up alert will be displayed as a reminder that you have been playing for the specified period of time (excludes Poker game play).
If you wish to receive the alerts more often, then any changes will be applied straight away, but if you wish to receive the alerts less often you will need to wait 24 hours before this is applied.
Set up Reality Checks

Session Limits

Many of our customers use Session Limits to manage their time spent gambling. Limits can be set per day, week or month and cannot be overridden. You can set up Session Limits per day, week or month and once the limit is reached you will receive a notification and will be automatically logged out until the timeframe resets.
A Session Limit can be set up by going to the Account Menu, Gambling Controls and selecting Session Limits, where you can select and submit the limits for your preferred time period.
The Session Limit can be decreased at any time. If you wish to increase a limit you will need to wait 7 days before we action your request.
Please also be advised that if you reach 50% of your set Session Limit, you will receive a message notifying you that you are approaching your limit.

Maximum Balance

The Maximum Balance enables you to limit the amount of funds that you can have in your account at any one time. Once set, if your balance exceeds your Maximum Balance for any reason, where possible a withdrawal will be automatically processed for the excess amount. You will receive a Web Message each time a withdrawal is processed in line with your Maximum Balance.
If you wish to decrease your Maximum Balance, any changes will be applied straight away, however, if you wish to increase your Maximum Balance, the increase will automatically be applied seven days from the initial request.

Account Closure

Should you wish to close your account, this can be requested in the Account Menu, in Gambling Controls or by clicking here. Here you have the option to select a duration and then choose the time period and closure reason. If there has been anything you have been unhappy with during your time at bet365 and would like to talk to us about, please contact us.

Net Deposit Limits
We may impose limits on the maximum amount you can lose over a calendar month period. Losses are defined as total deposits minus total withdrawals over a certain period (net deposits).
In accordance with strict regulatory requirements, where your net deposits exceed the following values in a calendar month we may need to ask you to provide further information in regards to your financial situation:

- 18 to 23 years old - €300 in a calendar month

- 24 or over - €700 in a calendar month

Until you have provided further information, you may be unable to make further deposits in the calendar month.

Where further information is required, you will be notified of this upon logging in to your account.

Once you have supplied all information requested, a tailored Monthly Net Deposit Limit will be applied to your account.
High Deposit Limits
All customers must set a Deposit Limit on their account to manage their spending.

Deposit Limit requests equal to or above the following amounts (considered High Deposit Limits) may require you to contact us before we can action your request:

Unless you are requesting to increase an existing limit (in which case, a 7 day period of consideration is required), the maximum non-high limit for your selected period will be applied until you contact us.
